A "domestic profit corporation" in the state of Michigan is a corporation which

(i) has been incorporated under Michigan law (as opposed to under the laws of another US state or another country, in which case Michigan would call it a "foreign" corporation) and

(ii) is intended to make a profit for its shareholders (as opposed to a non-profit corporation, such as a charity).
