Walmart responses to criticism?


did Wal-Mart ever give any respond or defense to the criticism of paying such a low wages?

Yes they offered jobs, discounts and brainwashing.
I don't understand why everyone says walmart doesn't pay enough? They start you out higher than the federal mininum wage and they start you out higher than any other retail company. Granted it's not career pay, but it's the best you can get in the field.
