What organisations are Market oreintated and which ones are not, what does it mean to be Market Orientated?

I have to look at the concept of Market Orientation and the surrounding litracture, I am familier with Naver and Slater and Koli & Jowarski however I need practical examples to show who is MO and who is not

Market orientation is when a company ooks at the needs of the consumner and then produces products or services to meet these needs. an example could be a bus service or a 24 hour shop.

This is the oposite of product orientation when a company focuses on tdeveloping their product and not what the consumer needs. An example could be the latest mobile phones with gadgets and tools that are high tech, but hard to use and not useful to the customer. Source(s): Marketing Student
