How many $$ in today's currency would be comparable to $480 million dollars back in 1901?

How many $$ in today's currency would be comparable to the $480 million dollars that Andrew Carnegie got for for his business sale to J.P. Morgan in 1901. Whatever it is, this amount made him the richest man in the world back then. Just wondering what it would be comparable today. I'm doing a speech for Toastmaster's on his life.
Thanks,
Vince

Here it is from January, 1913 to March, 2007:

$10,058,000,000.

So, from 1901 it might have been twelve billion.
