My job is moving to Iowa! 99% of the people I work with aren't going and are finding new jobs...?

I work in an insurance office and our jobs are consolidating and moving to Iowa

Every since the announcement of our company's consolidation my bosses boss is watching everyone like a hawk and flat out being an @ss to people for no reason at all.

ALL of our numbers are exceeding percentage goals and yet this jerk continuously is rude and its flat out obvious he's looking for reasons to fire people!!!

Today he accused me and two other people of not doing our work DESPITE our numbers in the systems contridicting this.

I was taken off the system to focus on paper work that needs to be sent to policy holders, and literally every 5 to 10 minutes he walks past my desk sometimes, coming up behind me and just standing there to see if I am working.

This accusation today was over the top and I want to quit, HOWEVER I believe I have done nothing wrong so why should I, also I want my separation package so I need to stick around.

Any POSITIVE suggestions on how to handle this jerk?

Start looking, keep your options open.
company's do this so they can get you to quit so they do not have to pay you severance, the a@s hole most likely gets a kick back for each person he gets to quit, don't let it bother you, or have a friend "talk" to him for you off the job
I have one.
I am a boss and not always when bossed are asses is it because you did something wrong. He may be in fear for his job. Just keep doing your job and document anything and everything. You may be with the company longer than him! Good luck!
Think about it, he is in the same boat with the same thing happening to him. He probably is more than edgy and worried like everyone else. It is like a pond in the working world. Throw a pebble in and it ripples out to every edge. It is affecting everyone and him included. Just do the best you can until you get your package.
Hang in there!
the company has told upper management to put the pressure on and make the job as unpleasent as possible to chase the workers off. it saves the company money if people leave instead of getting laid off( the company has to help foot the bill for unemployement compensation if you are laid off) plus a person looses any vacation, holiday and bonus pay if they quit. your choice is to quit or be better at playing their game.
