Av just been made redundant where do i stand for signin on? |
The company i (used) to work for has gone bust and we've (the work force) has been made redundant where do we stand with the job centre for singin on? you should call the job centre and make an appointment to sign on. Your claim can only be back dated to the date you made the appointment, and not before. So do this without delay. They will advise you on the rest. This happened to me and I signed on immediately. I didn't get much, but it's still better than nothing at all. In a queue, I presume. You have a gold star. Straight on no messing. But you'll have to wait 6 weeks for any cash. You will be fine getting money but it all depends how long you have to wait for money from previous experience they are usually quite quick depends how many claims they are dealing with at the time previous experience Go to the job centre ASAP with your p45 and last payslip. You will be entitled to money straight away, you might also be eligible for housing benefit esp if you rent out a place. |
