Any new news on the purchase? what was the cost per sq foot? per acre? Who's land was it? DId any one know that this happened? Did any one know Quincy (WA) existed before this happened? Will the people who work in these new project move to and live in Quincy?
Quincy is located in central Washington a few miles east of where Interstate 90 crosses the Columbia River. The land there is irrigated farmland. The topography is fairly flat with distant mountains to the west and northwest. This is "big sky" country. The purchased land is former farmland from several properties. The exact price is a matter of public record (contact the county) but farm land there with water rights goes for about $3,000 per acre. The largest town in the area is Wenatchee, WA about 35 miles north. Moses Lake, WA is a few miles east and is larger than Quincy. I suspect that some will live there while others will build in Quincy. |
