Does Walmart hurt or help us.? |
Walmart creates more jobs than many private employer plus they have "Everyday Low Prices" always and great hours. But the jobs they create are low paying pathetic jobs. Walmart buys everything from China, not locally produced stuff. And Wallmart has a habit of building ugly box stores, and abandoning them to build an even bigger, uglier "Superstore" down the street. And their employees are either rude or can't speak English, Both. It helps us because it supplies us with most of the products we need in one store. Its very convienent. But it also contributes to China being able to create more factories where they will pay workers minimum wage to manufacture products that employees would get paid much better to make here. We can protect ourselves with unions. The Chinese employees are getting thrown around like rag dolls defenseless. So, while Walmart does help us, I feel it hurts us and citizens of other countries more. Who cares about "us"? "Us" doesn't give me a raise at work or take care of my family. Walmart helps ME ...They've got low prices and everything I need under one roof. Easy shopping. If you'd like to work at Walmart buy at Walmart. I won't give them a penny. They shut down all competition in a given area. Do not support local businesses that don't deliver quality goods at a fair price. There is never the deal of the century. You will pay for it in the end regardless. Walmart devalues communities and homes in already successful areas. Keep them in the areas that do not presently have an economy to support. They do not care for, support or pay their employees. You will get what you pay for in this world. Don't ever assume otherwise. Capatilism, competition and free market assure fair pricing. |
