Is it a good job? What skills does it require? Pay?
It is usually typing information like names, phone numbers, financial amounts, and the like into a computer. You have to be a very accurate typist, and fast. Skills? Can you sit still for 6 - 8 hours in one position with your arms in the air? Lots of shoulder and neck pain in us older folks. Pay is stable, not so good. It is more and more global these days, so it won't be a great field. Could be a good stepping stone to better jobs in a good corporation; a gal I know got into IBM that way and ended up being admin assistant to the manager - good job.
Data Processing is entering characters into a data base from a computer terminal. Basically you will use your keyboard to type in information into a computer program. Here in michigan the pay rate ranges from $8-$10 per hour. It is an okay job if you are okay with doing one thing all day long. I would say you must like typing!
