I was just wondering why american brands like Axe deodorant, Burger King, and WalMart have a different name in Australia. Axe is called Lynx, Burger King is Hungry Jacks, and Walmart is BigW. why is this
Hungry Jacks is a franchise of Burger King. Walmart is nothing whatever to do with Big W, which is an offshoot of Woolworths (which as I expect you know is a food supermarket in Australia). Don't know about Lynx but if you mean the male shower gel etc, it's also called Lynx in the UK. When my son overused it I called it "Stynx". |
