Is Wal-Mart good for America's ecomony? |
i have to write this essay about walmart and if i think it's good or bad for americas economy. i think it might be good for the economy but i need 3 supporting topics, so if you caould help that'd be great. also if you want to try and change my mind about it being good, that would be okay too. Raising five children on a limited budget, it was always good for "my" economy. I can't believe that I was alone in this, so I would have to say it would be good for others as well. Prices and convenience for those struggling to make end meet and to make a life for their family (and I am talking merely essentials) are paramount. Not everyone can afford or even has the means to transportation to take them to all the stores that Wal-Mart provides under one roof. If it were bad for the economy it would be competed out of existence. Things that do not improve the economy die. 1) They enter only non-competitive markets driving out primarily weak players. In the end, they strengthen national competitiveness. 2) They manipulate the public benefit system for the benefit of their employees and shareholders forcing the public to ask what should employers provide in terms of benefits and asking why and what benefits should citizens have a right to. 3) They have been strongly credited with maintain low inflation. This guarantees everyone predictable price levels economy wide permitting much higher levels of production, employment and investment than would occur otherwise. Ya its good for the American economy, but Walmart is much better for the Chinese economy. I bet if all industry in China were to shut down except the ones that feed Walmart they would still get by just fine. This consumerist society that we live in just wants things cheaper and cheaper and most don't seem to care that quality is decreasing faster than price. America will not be the number one nation in the world very much longer. Watch WalMart saves American's money. WMT reduces the cost of bringing goods to the market with efficient distribution. They buy from the cheapest source even if that means buying outside the US. Whenever the distance and cost between the producer and the consumer is reduced, it makes the world more productive. Where ever Wal-Mart is, it is good. Wal-Mart always hires 100 employees or more and they also hire people with mental disabilities, they get involved into the community by raising funds and participating in different activities. Also Wal-Mart makes a lot of effort to supply themself with stock available right in the aera where the store is. It helps economy roll and it allows people to get product at affordable pricing meaning more spending, that is how the world of econony goes around. Absolutely. Their low prices keep inflation under control. And, these same low prices enables every income class to spend money ... money in circulation is good for overall economic growth. no wal-mart is not good for America its killing our economy by telling all of our manufactures that if they don't go to china then wal-mart will run them out of business and everybody thinks that wal-mart provides so many great jobs my *** they do they pay min. wage with no benefits and if they can they get illegal workers look at all of the U.S. manufactures that had to go to china to stay competitive if these companies were still here in America they we wouldn't have to worry about low paying jobs .
