How come the "little " man never get big raises anymore? Only the CEO's do.? First off,I've been the "little working man or P. On" for as long back in any job as far as I could rememeber. But if you knew what C.E.O. really meant, then you would understand why they make more money than the "little man" like ourselves. For one the C.E.O.(Chief Execuctive Officers)are the ones dealing with running the corporation, taking care of investors money that helps in running the company,as well as hiring the "little men and women"(as you so bluntly put it),and paying our salaries or wages under contract to that company we work for. Then the other money is used in cost of any repairs or bills that need to be paid to keep that company open for business.Secondly, until the wage an hour laws raise up in price, then it makes it very difficult for them to say that they can give us a raise everytime we think we should be due or owed for one.It doesn't work that way.Because if that were the case, then they'd have to pay thousands of their workers like that, and then it would have to do one of many other things, that would effect everyone and the company itself from being around for very much longer.(1)It would have to cut it's workforce staff by half,or close it's company areas around the nation or world, depending on the size of the company you're referring to.(2)The investment people and companies that used their own money to finance to help build up the company itself, and get it established, and running, would end up losing their shares within stock market trades, thereby causing more than half the investors to either lose everything they have,or declare for bankruptsy in the end.(3)The company itself and the people that work inside would all eventually lose their jobs where they work, and the company itself would fold and go "Belly Up" so to speak,or it would have to move itself to a different area where they hire for cheaper wages and hired help, thus causing people that worked with that company to go on strike afterwards, and even some of these workers have been known for protesting and/or occasional rioting, which in terms isn't a favorite subject with law enforcement agencies, where ever you go to.But I could keep going on with this subject matter, but also,I believe this alone should paint a vividly detailed enough picture for you to answer this question. All I can say is this,I for one would rather take a cut once in awhile,to make sure I still had my job to go to,than watching it cut the workforce in half, causing the workforce to not have jobs at all, because the company couldn't afford to pay to have some of the workers there to begin with. Also you can do other work to earn extra money on your time away from one company, and work part time with another.I always found that to keep my bills and everything paid up for,as well as still being able to be financially stable to do what I need to do when I retire. And if you're still not satisfied with this, then if you have a trade skill or skills to be able to contract your own business, then do that to earn the extra money you want or need.I hope this can help to enlighten your mind, and the minds of other workforce members like myself who do what we must to keep our heads above any troubles we face each and every day out in the fields we work in.Good Luck and God Bless the"little men and women"of this working world, and God Speed to Us All. Source(s): Just another P.On "little working man" that knows how you feel, but don't sweat it,you'll get a pay raise within time,as time goes on,I would certainly hope for people like ourselves. But sometimes we have to have patience on the Companies terms and grounds at times when we feel we need the money then and there,as what we want or need the money for.Don't worry,we all get the raise eventually, through that job or another we work for.Or better yet, work some field areas as our own boss,on our own spare time. and they will blame the "little man" for companies not making enough money... A look at the terminology now used versus that of a few years ago will give one some insight into the mindset of corporate players: companies no longer have "personnel" but now utilize "human resources." Nonsense, CEO stands for Corruption Exercise Only. haha. Lucky me, I feel good never to be a CEO. lol.. |
