Who do i make the payment to when requesting for my bank charges history information? |
when trying to find how much iv been charged over the years i have to pay 拢10 for my account history do i pay my bank or do they take it out my bank automatically What happens is that you send out a cheque to the bank, made out to the bank (you can get the details from the banks website of their full trading name). However, hardly any banks actually cash the cheque, usually you will get it sent back to you with your statements, but you still have to send it or they could refuse your request and you`d have no comeback. Don't send a postal order, as you pay up front for that, so its a hassle to get the money if it comes back. The cheque doesn't have to be in your name, so you could get someone else to write the cheque for you if you don't have a cheque book. You should be able to get old statements for free If not register for internet banking as you can view back online then The bank doesn`t always take the payment but make a cheque payable to the bank as they will not take it automatically.... They take it out automatically. (Or the Halifax does) I had to pay 拢5 for my history. they take it automaticly, if your asking for your charges back expect to wait 8 weeks & get 70percent of what your asking. |
