I need to get a decent internet provider. But can't afford what they want. Can you help?
I also use high speed Internet, but I don't pay any more then people who get a regular land line. Because I use http://www.sunrocket.com, which requires a high speed Internet connection. Before I got Sunrocket I paid about $55.00 a month for a Verizon land line (after taxes), now that I have Sunrocket I pay $199.00 for a year, that comes to about $16.66 a month. you can get Optimum on line / Cablevision for about $29.95 a month (no tax), together with Sunrocket that would be $46.66 a month - cheaper then a Verizon land line by itself. after the year is up the price for Optimum on line / Cablevision goes up, when that happens (if you have phone jacks in your home that used to be connected to a Verizon land line) you can switch to Verizon dsl high speed Internet without a phone line for about $35.00 a month for a year (I don't think there is tax on that) together with Sunrocket that would be $51.66 a month still cheaper then a Verizon land line by itself. Also Sunrocket sometimes has specials, for example sometimes they charge $199.00 for two years instead of one year, that would make their phone line cost about $8.29 a month. I personally use Sunrocket because it has great rates - unlimited calling all over the USA & Canada plus $3.00 - 100 minutes of free international calls a month but you can also check out www.viatalk.com if you want to.
