Standing order help please?


i have a standing order set up to come out of my bank every friday i have just canceled it online my question is as it is supposed to come out tomorrow have i canceled it in time or will the payment be made tomorrow (Lloyds tsb)

Hi your in the same situation as me at the end of the month if i havent got enough in the bank to cover my standing order and direct debits i cancel them, it wont come out now you have cancelled it and no many people know this but bank transactions are not done at midnight its 3:00am GMT when the nasdaq closes so you have till 3 to cancel them
In my experience I have has to give 3-5 days notice. You should try calling the business that will be withdrawing the money from your account.
Read the terms and conditions, they usually have a cut off time.
