I applied for a discover card and they said they'd process my application and let me know if i was approved

its been over a week and i have not heard from them. does this mean they denied me? usually theyll tell me right awya if im approved or not when i apply for a card. thanks

When the credit card company says that they will get back with you, it means you were denied. It only takes less than 5 minutes to approve.

Same thing with increase the credit line. When the customer ask me to increase the credit line, if we do not approve, we'll send out a letter with an explanation why we would not increase.

Go on line and apply. You will know immediately whether you get approved or not. Maybe the credit line you asked for is too high. That could be a reason why. Even if they give you a lower credit limit, they'll send you a letter later on.

If Discover card did not approved you right away, usually it's meen they will denied you.
