I earn a good salary but do not have any credit history. Can I use my salary to get a credit card?

Yes, you may be able to persuade a bank or credit union into giving you a credit card by showing them some check stubs and longevity on the job.

If they won't, since you earn good money, you could go with a secured card. Either way it shouldn't be a problem for you to get a credit card.

Good Luck! Source(s): http://aaacreditguide.com/credit-cards.h...

Everyone has to start somewhere so with your salary you should get a card. They provide cards to persons with poor credit history so you should get one easy. Under my profile credit there is a great site for looking at all the different cards anyone under any circumstances can get. Good luck but remember to manage your debt at all times.
Most people do. Might I suggest a secured card in which you put up your own money against a credit limit? It's a great way to build credit and having that amount in reserve means you cannot get into too much trouble. Save your desire for credit to buy a home, car or other things you cannot afford to pay cash for and keep your credit card purchases to a reasonable amount that you can pay in full when the bill arrives.
