Check with the clerk of court in the county the school was in (or where it was incorporated possibly) to see if there is a bankruptcy filing. If there is (check back newspaper records to see when it was advertised if it was) and see if you can be listed as a creditor or someone to whom monies are owed. If they are insolvent, you don't have much chance of getting your money back but you can provide proof of what happened to the lenders and see if that will help. Good luck! |
