Is there anyway I can find out my credit score for free? |
I don't mean the credit report, I know how to get that yearly...but I'd like to know my credit score but I wonder is there anyway I can find out without having to pay money? Yes, apply for a mortgage and ask the mortgage broker your scores. These will be true FICO scores. It will be a hard inquiry and count against your scores though, but it is pretty much the only way you will get it free. All of the sites online offer FAKO scores, except for MyFICO.com, which is about $45. Source(s): Credit Repair Forum: http://aaacreditguide.com/forums... No there is no website or anywhere else for that matter that offers a credit score for free. Many places range from at least $7 on up No legitimate place will give you your credit score for free. TrueCredit.com (by TransUnion) Offers all 3 bureau reports + all 3 credit scores for $14.95 a month---And you can update it daily. My FICO offers a free 30 day trial-but then they want around 80.00 to keep it-and only after you call to cancel to they offer you a monthly payment-But the monthly payment for MyFICO is still higher than TrueCredit. Otherwise if you buy them seperately they range from $7 - $8 each. Much cheaper to go the TC route. Contact a mortgage company and let them know you are interested in refinancing or buying a home and let them pull your credit. If you have no intention of obtaining a mortgage with them, this could be unethical to some extent because it is costing the company money to pull your credit. YES!! FREE!!! The government requires the credit reporting agencies to offer a free credit report to everyone once a year. Goto: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i... and request your once a year "FREE" credit report. freecreditreport.com offers it for free, but mind you, you do have to give your credit card info and after you get the score you can call or e-mail them to cancel your request. They will not charge your credit card.I have done it myself and got my score, after I got my score I e-mailed them and told them not to charge my card because I didn't want to keep it going. If you keep it going it's 14.95 a month. It does give you your score as well as what's on your report. |
