I have a $50 credit (return items) to a store called "Welcome Home",it went bankrupt, can i get my money back? Nope Not unless they have a parent company who's honoring the credits... if they were owned by Macy's, for example, they would have a sign up telling customers that all credits are now good at Macy's. In this instance, I think you just lost $50, sorry. Pretty much SOL Call their previous phone number and see what you can find out. you can also call the attorney generals office and see who is handling the bankruptcy. check the paper as they have to post the bankrup. for 90 days and file a claim thru there if you see it. Key term here: "Bankrupt" No mula here to honor your $50.00 credit. Your S.O.L. Sorry about that. I had a bunch of worthless stock that I bought for nothing in a company that got bought out by a fortune 500 company and I thought my stock would skyrocket and they laughed me off the phone. Probably not. But what you may want to do is call the Attorney Generals office in your state as well as the state in which the bankruptcy was filed. Let them know you have the credit. They might???? be able to list it as one of their debits. Business have to file Chapter 13 which means debits have to be paid back |
