Is it better important to major in something you enjoy, or something that leads directly to a career?

Is it better important to major in something you enjoy, or something that leads directly to a career?

I think it depends on what you see yourself doing. If you don't know quite yet, major in whatever you find interesting and then find some sort of job in a field you think you might be interested in when you get out of college. If you then find your dream career, go back to school for it, if it was not what you had gone to school for in the first place. If you just get on a career path, but it's not what you want to do, then in the end you'll have wasted your time. Source(s): People I know who have made that mistake.
