they are 6-11, pretty good kids, is 5 dollars and hour good?
I made $6 an hour when I was your age, and that was 10 years ago. It depends on the circumstances though. If she's a single mother that can't afford much else and you enjoy the kids, then it's acceptable. Besides, the 11 year old probably takes care of his/herself. In the future though, I'd ask for $7 an hour. You're watching someone's kids--a precious/irreplacable part of their lives and you deserve to be compensated for taking on that responsibility. |
