Is it better to work at one place for a long period of time or constantly jump from place to place, as for as employers are concerned?
I'm a college student cashiering part-time and I love my job because I'm surrended by really the greatest people. Even though the pay is crap, I was planning to stay until I graduate to get a real job. This doesn't seem like a really good plan as far as my future is concerned though, plus this is my first job, so I was thinking I should branch out a little to show more experience or skills or whatever. However, I'm an English major, so working at a hospital or labarotory isn't really going to do me any good like it will my Biology friends. Should I be looking for another job?
most employers look for job stability for example 2 people apply for the same job they have both been in the working world for say 15 years person A: lists 2 jobs in 15 years person B: lists 12 for the same 15 years as an employer I would go for person A they have job stability more likely to be there long term not just for a few weeks or months |
