Which degree would be more useful? Mechanical Engineering or Finance?

I am currently studying a BA (hons) in Business at Strathclyde University which has a very good name in the field, taking Finance as my principle subject. However, I am thinking about changing to a M.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering because the career prospects are better. I have the grades to switch but it would add another 5 years to my studies if I switched now. Are their as good job prospects in Finance as their are in Mechanical Engineering? Are the salaries similar?! What to do...
