How does one normalize foreign companies when valuing them? |
How does one normalize foreign companies so that they are all playing on the same level when valuing them? Really its just an educated guess based on recent events. Before the Yukos scandal Russia companies were valued higher than after. Before Chavez did another round of nationalizing, Argentinian companies were valued higher. Companies in North America and Western Europe will have very little regional risk built in. Asia a little more, except maybe China Central and South America, Eastern Europe more still , and Africa the most. Because Africa is unstable and because even slight changes in government can wipe out entire companies, very few investors find their companies to be worthwhile investments. |
