Is there a relation between job announcement and financial quarter?

I am searching for jobs right now. Although some good jobs announcements fit my profile, they do not respond (pharma).

Is that because, they already have a candidate in mind and that ad is a bogus.

Also, someone suggested that there will be more job ads in July-August. (start of third quarter). Is that true ?

I think its kind of strange that they would say that about 3rd quarter, unless the particular pharma's fiscal year happens to end/start then. That is usually the way that it works- 3rd and 4th quarter tend to have the least hiring, as everybody is doing everything they can to make their projected numbers for the year. At the start of the new fiscal year, they have new budgets, with more money to get new people in them.
Its pretty unlikely that the ads you are referring to are bogus- remember, it costs them money to post those ads. More likely is that you just dont have the right qualifications, or your resume isnt capturing their attention for whatever reason.
