Where should i find the guides to be a financial planner? |
financial planning really get me into it! but, i'm not in the account class... i'm a pure science student.. should i give up or there is no problem at all to be a financial planner eventhough you are not studying account? help me!!!!thanks.... You may want to visit this http://www.fpa.asn.au/ I have to admit, I'm not a Financial Planner myself, so my info might be biased. I work as an accountant and deal with quite a few Financial Planners. I don't believe there is any requirement for them to study accounting (is that what you meant? "studying account"?) Ones that I have met so far do not seem to understand much about accounting. Roughly they do, but really not much. They really know how to sell though. Sorry, no idea. To be a certified financial planner (CFP) takes about 18 months to three years of schooling and some pretty hefty exams. You have to learn the basics of insurance (life, health), investments, risk managment, tax planning, estate planning, retirement, etc. There is no accounting in a CFP. Check out the requirements in your state and be prepared to spend a lot of money. |
