Does any one know anything about working for MassMutual as a Financial Services Rep?

Is this a good career move? How do you generate leads/clients?? Is it one of those positions where I have to sell Life Insurance to my family and friends and cold call people at home at night?

Thanks!

Only you can answer whether this is a good career move.
Most first year agents do good to make $15-20,000. Some do better and some do worse. That's why the first year turn-over rate is over 80% in this business. It is a tough business. You must be prepared to work long hours, nights and talk to everyone you meet. It takes YEARS of work to build up your client base, so that you don't have to put in 60 - 80 hour work weeks.
Don't count on your family and friends to buy insurance from you. DON'T LIST YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHEN YOU INTERVIEW WITH THE COMPANY! If you decide not to take the job or leave the company, that list is part of the agency list. Source(s): worked in the insurance industry
I have one rep in my networking group and he seems to be very happy with the company. Good Luck.
