I have got an offer from citigroup bank, nigeria. how do i believe whether it is genuine or a scam.? |
success letter from citigroup bank plc, nigeria Any "offer" that requires you to put money up front or reveal personal information, like bank account numbers or SS numbers is almost certainly a scam. Walk into a local Citi branch in the U.S. and ask them. Nigeria is notorious for scams. If they are demanding any money drop the idea otherwise confirm from citibank and the Indian embassy. Anything you get from Nigeria is a scam. Do not believe it. You will lose your money. #1: ANY $$ email from nigeria is a SCAM #2: any email from someone you've never met offering you HUGE amounts of money is illegal They get you to open an account, put several thousands in it and email them the account data for a deposit, and then withdraw YOUR money.. or They get you to open an account with a fake check from them and send them a check on those funds which is processed before their iinitial rubber check bounces. got the picture? don't fall for this scam it's been around several years and is well known Go to the Citybank website (below)and find an email address for customer services. Ask them to verify the offer. Slim www.citibank.com/domain/contac... Kindly confirm the same from CITIBank HO. Our company was once duped in Benin a nearby country by giving us fake Bank of america bank draft and also in Nigeria too. Be very very careful. |
