Can i get a job as a financial planner's asssistant, with no investment exp, only banking exp.? |
will people look at me weird? Yes you can! I work for an investment form and many of the FA assistants started out as tellers at a bank. The only requirement (and this depends on the firm) is you may have to take a series 6 or possibly series 7 exam. Good luck! I am actually awaiting the answer to that question. I applied for jobs through Monster and got an email about being a financial planner. I told them that I only have AA degrees and banking experience. I read somewhere one must have a Bachelor's degree. I think that they would have written back. They won't look at you weird, especially if you are a man. They will want to train you. I went to an insurance meeting today, actually a little bit financial planner and I was acceptable. It depends on the company. Yes you can the company I work for which is a huge global company will hire you without any experience in the field. yes, you can, financial planner is not financial analyze, it's a sales position, if you can do customer service, you can get the job. Who cares what other people think... it's your life and you only get one of them! I would get help with your resume from a good Career Coach who does resumes. I have a very good one on my team. You want to highlight the things you've done that can cross over to the new job... and not just list everything you've done. Maria Marsala http://www.elevatingyourbusiness.com... |
