Bookkeeping Certificate?

Would getting a bookkeeping certificate online help me in finding a job as a bookkeeper? Or would the employers not look at the certificate as legitimate

What would get you a job is great Book keeping skills and recommendations from previous employers.

There are courses which you can take online but taking an accounting course would be much more useful because keeping books is a science and require a lot of practice and also people who can answer your questions. Also, job market for accountants is very competitive today. It would be useful to maybe getting an AA degree or bachlor degree.
