Is an exempt employee taxed higher than a non-exempt employee?

this might be a dumb question, but i am transitioning and were just wondering.

The term exempt employee usually refers to exemption from wage and hour laws. (ie overtime) All employees are taxed the same for income tax purposes. Some may be allowed additional deductions (ie outside salesman ), but their tax rates are the same.

Hope this helps.
am exempt emplotee is not taxed at all... .the only thing that is taken out of your check when you are exempt is social security & medicaid.....

i believe you still have to file with whomeever you're under... but you wil lnot recieve a refund b.c nothing has been taken from you....
i filed for exempt last year... b.c im still living in my mothers house
