I went on 4 interviews The other one was. the day before yesturday still no answer?

This is for a federal credit union, they did a background check and everything. Why wouldn't they pick me, when they took me through this whole interview process and checking everything.

Choosing people from interviews takes a while, especially if a background check was involved, and double especially if the government is involved. Just keep in mind the person/people doing the selection have other jobs to do in addition to choosing from a list of people to hire. If there is no one else on the list, they may be setting up training coordination, HR appointments, etc, before they notify you of your hiring date so as not to have to keep calling you and bother you with stuff you don't need to worry about.

If you don't hear anything after 2 weeks and you really think you should have heard something, call back and tell them how enjoyable it was to meet with them and ask if there is any other paperwork, etc that they need from you. They won't but it's a good ploy to try to get a positive or negative response from them.
I had one interview that called me back 9 months later, and said they had been thinking about me all that time.
Sometimes it takes a while. Be patient and good luck!
You just have to be patient. I know it sucks, because I am also job hunting. Waiting is the worst part of it. You might consider sending them a little thank you card (thanks for taking the time to meet with me etc) with your name and phone number on it in a couple weeks, if they hadn't contacted you by then.
give up and look 4 another job
It's fustrating i know. It sometimes takes a while to get things back ie: your background check but a good think to do it a call back or write a thank you note. Wait about a week and if you hadn't heard anything call for a follow up and thank the person that interviewed you for the opportunity to sit down with them and let them know that you are very interested in the job. Or you can send a little thank you note. This makes them know you are interested and it puts you a little ahead of your competition!
Two days isn't long. Did you ask them at the interview when you might hear from them? That's a fair question to ask.

If a week goes by and you haven't heard from them, it's reasonable to call and ask if they've made a decision yet.

It's early yet - they might well pick you. Or they might have run across someone else who meets their needs more closely, and hired them instead. In any case, whether you get the job or not, you obviously impressed them.

Good luck.
