Any comments on working for HSBC as a financial planner? Training, reputation, etc.?
I do not work for HSBC, but I did interview with the company for a FA (financial advisor) position. HSBC has a reputable name, and they expect you to be fully licensed (Series 7 and 63/65 or 66, and life & health insurance) when you start as a FA. Meaning, on-job training is not offered. Their pay structure is competitve and benefits are good. However, they want someone with investments sales experience in retail or brokerage firms. You will be working with bankers to solicite bank clients about the investment products and grow the book of business for the branch. Depending on the region you will be working, some Saturday and late evening hours are expected. Good luck... |
