For the specialization in trading(financial markets) and budgeting, would grad school(MS Finance) be worth it?

I'm currently a junior and thinking about going to grad school when I'm done. But I'm not sure whether to go for an extra year of school or get the experience from work. I wouldn't mind doing an extra year while I'm still schooling, it is more of a matter of is it worth it. What do you all think?

its absolutely worth it if you're talking analyst or forecasting. it would mean more money for you but you should definitely intern while going to school. the market is too competitive for someone who has all the degrees but no hands on experience. hedge your bets by getting some frontline experience; you'll be ready to step into a challenging position as opposed to strictly entry level. more importantly, you'll make great contacts.
That depends on your current academic standing. Most sales/traders are admitted to analyst programs without a masters degree if they have had the internship experience and coursework that covers financial markets and monetary systems as an undergraduate.

If you like school, then go for the MS degree. You can probably do without it and just go for a MBA in the future. From what I've seen, students who go for MA/MS enter the recruiting process targeting analyst roles, while MBA/JD/PhD candidates apply for associate roles in the investment banking community.

If you can get in without the MA/MS, save your time/money for the MBA down the road. You can develop an equally valuable network in your professional career or in business school.
