How can I get a frim sponsorship to take the series 7 exam with a college degree?

I know that in order for me to even take the exam I need to be sponsored by a member firm. Does anyone know how a person can get the sponsorship without a college degree or know of any firms in the Bay Area that will sponsor?

Primerica.

I know. There a lot of people who look down on Primerica. But here鈥檚 the bottom line: As long as you are paying (out of your own pocket) for the costs of test prep and test fees, Primerica will sponsor you for your NASD Series 7 and 63 exams. You are not there to build a career -- just get licensed. After you have your licenses, 鈥測ou can take yourself uptown鈥?to another firm. The fact that you were able to get licensed on your own shows that you really want to be in the industry and are a "go-getter". More prestigious firms might give you a try.

Be prepared to spend a couple thousand.
without a college degree it's going to be a little harder. Edward Jones, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, AG Edwards, Charles Schwab, etc. all have locations in the Bay Area. You just have to prove yourself to the hiring manager that you are a good candidate and that you're not going to just get your licenses and leave to some other place. Don't do Primerica...they are a pyramid scam!
I used to work for a brokerage firm.
it's not difficult getting a job without a college degree as a rep in training at any of the major wire houses listed in a previous answer. the key is to be prepared for your interview with the sales manager. attend an open house first. there are always quite a few listed on monster. be prepared by thinking about your "natural market". this means avenues accessible by you that have prospects for your fledgling financial business (i.e. family business, club memberships, church affiliations, sports activities etc.). if you don't have any, get out there and join something that interests you or find business mixers in your area to start networking.

if you get past the initial interview, they'll have you take a psychological profile test since they are looking for high spirited entrepeneurial types that will be aggressive in growing their business. you may also have to do a simulated phone interview with a fake client. read up on some basic strategies and learn how to turn a "no" from a client around to getting more info out of them and setting appointments.
once you're in, you'll get sponsored for the 7, 63, 65 and insurance licenses if necessary.
I know a firm that can get you sponsored in the Bay area
email me at robertsonassure@gmail.com

Stay away from any one wanting you to carry their business name and not your own...if you build your business with most of those companies and then realize you aren't doing what's right for you clients and decide to leave......your book of business stays with them ....you are essentially building their business not your own...

After sponsorship and getting licensed you want to be with a company that will allow you to remain non-captive, receive high commisions, overrides, and bonuses with no production minimums, unrestrictive contracts, no territories, be free to do business outside of the broker dealer firm, and offer ongoing training and access to cutting edge new carriers and products, etc...

If you're serious I'll put you touch with someone ASAP.
