Is it hard to get financial aid in CA?

I'm hoping to start on-line classes, Since I'm a single mom its kind of my only option. Anywho, does anyone know how hard it is to get financial aid? I make about $39,000 a year and I have a dependant. Any tips?

It shouldn't be hard, apply for FAFSA and open an account on www.fastweb.com there they show you all the scholarships you can apply for. There is AAAALOOOOT of money for school out there that most people don't know about. There are scholarships for being Hispanic, Black, Native American, for being a Female, for being single mother, anything you can think of. Also you can go to any library and look at the financial aid books they have many scholarships in there too.
