WHere should I get my MBA? In Canada or in the states? HOw do I transfer from a Canadian UNiversity(Bachelors) to a US UNiversity, if I should go there? Anyone know the salaries? well it depends on the school, any ivy league school is not bad, check businessweek's top business school for stats I'm not an expert, but I don't think it matters which country you get your MBA in, as much as it matters what university you go to. There are universities in both Canada and the US that have very good business programs that are internationally recognized. To my knowledge, the reputation of the school matters much more than whether it is an American or a Canadian school. Of course, like I said, I'm not an expert on MBAs, so someone else may have a better answer than I do. Where do you intend to work? the US or Canada? and in what field? As a rule of thumb, you should look at the quality of the University. If you don't get into one of the top Unis, then look for those that offer an MBA in the specific field that you want to work in. I.e. if you want to do marketing, then Kellog is a better choice than Wharton, whereas if you want to do finance, then Wharton is the better choice. Most good MBA programs in the US require you to have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, so transfering from a canadian Uni while you're still in the bachelor's program is probably not a smart idea. You need to do some more research and look at the requirements of the different Universities. |
