Most prestigious accounting firm to work for in the US? |
Most prestigious accounting firm to work for in the US? I would say it's PricewaterhouseCoopers. I think it has to do with its pedigree. Pricewaterhouse & Co. had been around a long time, and at a time when Deloitte Haskins & Sells before its merger with Touche Ross & Co. couldn't hold a candle to it. I don't know about in the USA, but where I am, PwC pays the best among the big 4. Wellllll, before that whole Enron mess it would have been Arthur Andersen. Now I think it's Accenture. The big four are all great names to work for, mainly: KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte. They are all great firms and some might have better specialization in some areas more than others. I know KPMG is known for its tax expertise (which ironically got it into trouble lately for some tax shelter schemes deemed illegal by the fed govt.). Accenture isn't an accounting firm. All four of the Big 4 are pretty much identical when it comes to prestige. |
