How to make the work place a better place? Would you voice your opinion?

would u as an employee get involved in the process of deciding the environment that u work in, if given a chance?

Yes, but you have to do it in a professional manner. Explain and support your recommendations in a written format. Submit it to your supervisor, and to his or her supervisor. You will be praised for getting involved and taking initiative. make sure you know what your talking about though. do as much research as possible before you open your mouth.
Definitely. I work for an internet retail company and they're fairly fun anyway - but we're going to be moving to a new bigger office soon (we've kinda outgrown the current one - seriously, we've got new people starting next week and we keep joking that they're going to have to sit on the floor with a laptop or something!) and our MD has emailed round asking if we've got any (practical and realistic) requests for the new office when we move.

At the moment we've got suggestions like having a juice bar in the morning where we get breakfasty things delivered in the morning to pep everyone up. And there's little things like having a weekly shopping order for things to go in the fridge that everyone can use - stuff like mayonnaise as we seem to have about 5 jars on the go at the moment!

Recently they've splashed out and bought us some picnic benches for our car park (it's owned by our building), so although it's not the most scenic area, it means we can have lunch outside in the sunshine.

If you're going to have social-ish events, the best day is wednesday - if you leave everything to friday, on monday, that's a whole working week away. Wednesday is only 2 days and after, well hey, only 2 days until the weekend! It breaks things up nicely and gives you something to look forward to!
Of course. Modern personnel managers usually engage in what is known as job enrichment, in which employees are given the chance to participate in the process of deciding on how their working environment should look like. Please, voice out your opinion when you were asked about your work. This will give management the chance to have an understanding of your perception of the job.
yes but you have to retain a degree of diplomacy. Id suggest setting up a suggestion box, and/or circulating a poll/survey via email if its possible then present your suggestions to the management and see what happens.
