California St Labor Laws for Salary Employees?

I am a salaried employee and live in California. I often have to work more than 8 hours a day and am mandated to come into work on Saturdays and Sundays and am not given time off in return. Am I due additional money for the extra hours I worked? Recently, I worked 110+ hours in a week and a half. Is there anything I can do? I was promised that this would be a Monday through Friday 9-5 job and it hasn't worked out that way.'

I'm not in CA, but that doesn't sound right to me. I can only recommend that you visit a local employment attorney or visit the following sites:

California Labor Code - www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/cal...
DIR Division of Labor Standards ... - www.dir.ca.gov/DLSE/
