Where should I go to get a free work history report? |
Where should I go to get a free work history report? There's no such thing as a "work history report" (free or otherwise). You could always try to contact the personnell departments at your previous employers, and ask if thry still had your resume(s) and job description(s) on file. Most will, especially if you worked fora larger company, or anywhere in the public sector. Any personnell department should at the very lease be able to tell you your dates of employment and compensation, including any promotions and raises. If you're just looking to find out where you used to work 20 years ago because you forgot, it's probably completely irrelevant by now, anyway. If you're looking to dig up this dirt on someone else, though, you're almost certainly out of luck, as any personnell department would make you prove your identity before they disclosed any information, whatsoever. There is no place that would or should have that information available. Have you forgotten where you have been employed - or your dates of employment? Social Security Administration has how much tax you have paid each year, but not where you were working at the time. |
