Is bookkeeping/tax analyzing a good job to have while getting a finance degree? I believe it is. I was going for a double major, Accounting and Hotel Administration. I worked in both for a while, but during the time of my college education, I spent time working for a tax and accounting firm. I liked it so much that I now own such a firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I have never looked back. It is because of my working in such a field that I have gotten to know so many people, who are always asking for help. And, since I am someone who enjoys helping others, this works out great for me. So, get your experience while you are at the University. You will find that many employers, even those outside of the field will respect you more for your choice of work while at school, than even for your grades and majors. ABSOLUTELY! Get your accounting experience while you can and apply your newly found finance skills towards making yourself wealthy. I think it is great experience...sort of like a paid internship. |
