What does draw comission mean?

i just got a job at macy's shoe deportment and i was told something about draw comission and i really didnt understand it. does n e one else work at macy's shoe deportment and could explain this? also is this the hourly salary plus the comission?

A draw is an advance against the commission that you have yet to earn. At the end of the month, quarter (whatever was established) you'll either get what commision you haven't drawn against or you'll owe your employee money because you haven't sold enough.
It means that the job you are looking at is competitive, and will expect results from you. It means that they do not care jmcuh for you, what you can do for their wallet.

But, hey, you could get lucky and do extremely well!

Here you go:

Commission: you get nothing until you sell something. When you seel somehting, the compnay takes 50%, and you get 30% of the remaning 50% after taxes.

DRAW vs. COMMISSION: Instead of throwing you to the wolves, they give you say, $500 a week. But they keep track of all the money they give you. So when you maike your first sale, they will take almost All of it to cover your debt. Its the better way to do business, as you dont have to struggle so bad.

Good luck!
