Series 7 Stockbroker test taining ideas?? Anyone pass it recently?? I need Help!? |
I am going to be taking the test in about two or thre months but I know I will need at least two months to study HARD.. I am also taking a classtwo days per week, for about a month.. A great instructor with high passing scores too. BUT.. and this is a BIG BUT... I have a REALY hard time concentraiting and studying..I have a bad memory and it is just really hard for me to stay focused.. what do I do?? Well the fact your taking a class should help a lot! I never took a class - however I did have sample test questions (which I am sure you will get from the class) if your in NYC go to the public library and just study a few hours per day. I had about 7 sample tests - I took at least 1 test per day. I would take the test in full and then go back and check my answers - anything I answered wrong, I would write out the question and answer in full in a notebook - and then those were the questions I would study between taking tests. Do this for every test, and you will notice that you will start getting those ones right, and before you know it you'll be a pro - good luck and remember - don't get a score above a 90....that means you studied too much! Test tip #1 never look for the correct answer. First look for the answers that are wrong this will help you narrow down your search for the correct answer. As you may have noticed these test questions are very confusing and written in a tricky manner. Be sure to read each question carefully they often slip in the easy to miss "not". The next thing you should do is learn how to properly learn new information using mnemonic devices. I am a RIA and have used the following techniques to easily learn new material in record time. http://www.harrylorayne.com/ It is difficult at first but you will amaze yourself after you get the hang of how the human mind works. takle as many tests as you can.. if you run out of teats, buy a book of tests for 2007 on Amazon. Take the tests, MEMORIZE the ANSWERS. Take the tests again, assumning you do not makr them up. I got an 81% on it... its cake, dont worry. I took the series 7 a year ago. The first time I failed (60's), but the second I passed with a score in the 80's. When studying for this test, it is broken into several study parts (ie options, bonds, etc.) Some areas are easier than other parts. It is important I found to do all the practice exams, over and over. The area's that I scored lowest, I keep studying and took practice test just on those parts, until I felt I had a fairly good grasp of the material. I found that software programs help tremendously as it sped up my studying. Good Luck! |
