Im thinking of getting a job as a financial planner and i was wondering if its a good idea to get the series 63 on my own, since it requires no sponsorship?
You could join a bank and take the classes and tests free while drawing a salary. If you are working for Waddell & Reed, Smith & Barney or others they will also give you a small salary after earning your licenses before going on commission.
I would approach a financial planning agency first since they often help you with questions, testing and support while studying for the tests. If you take them on your own, you do not have financial or informational support. |
