Do you have to bring a notepad to take notes during interviews in finance? Or does it not look professional?
A notepad is something you bring with you to any interview. You don't have to take notes during the interview. What you put there are things you need to remember such as the date and time of a second interview, names, correct titles, and addresses of those who interview you. You will need this information for your post interview thank you notes.
Peace and blessings! I interviewed probably 25+ people during my tenure as the manager of an Accounting department for 6 years. I only had one external applicant EVER bring a notepad and take notes during an interview. I was impressed that she brought the notepad and took notes during the interview. I was even more impressed when she sent a "thank you for interviewing me" note later.
