What Does The Acronym SAP Stand For??? |
In the context of finance related careers??? In high school anatomy class it stood for "Standard Anatomical Position" But the actual meaning is - Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing. A well-known integrated suite of applications from SAP that formed the client/server version of its R/2 mainframe applications. R/3 included information systems for manufacturing, distribution, order processing, accounting and human resources. In 2000, the company transitioned the R/3 nomenclature to one called mySAP ERP, a core component of its my SAP Business Suite family. Other products in the suite address CRM, PLM, SCM and SRM. If you don't know it and the job requires it, you won't get the job but if they are offering to train you then that is a good thing.
