What is the limit on bank interest without tds?

What is the limit on bank interest without tds?

TDS is applicable on bank FDR intt of Rs. 10,000/- and above. So saving account intt is totally exempt. If your total income including intt income is expected to be below taxable limit , you can file form 15G / 15H to the bank so that no TDS is deducted.
For interest up to 10000/- there is no TDS deducted.

But if your taxable income is nil, you can submit the form 15G (15 H for senior citizens) and request the bank not to deduct TDS on interest.
