Would you take a Salary plus commission job with New York Life...? |
as a financial advisor? Well, that would all depend on the salary and the commission! New York Life is a long established company. But, I just have to make this point...If you can't make a decision about this without asking...I don't think you belong in the financial advisor profession. Seriously, take a few minutes to think about what you are asking? You want a job advising people how to invest their life savings...and you can't even do the research to find out if New York Life is a good place to work. Come on! That is part of your job. If you can't solve this problem how can you advise anyone else? However, I will give you a break and assume that this is the research. But, this is not the right place to do it. You have no idea who you are talking to on the internet, or if what they are saying is true. I will admit that I am not a certified financial advisor yet (I will be within the year) I do know a lot about it. I have been a certified Tax advisor for almost 20 years. It seems to me that you know just enough to be dangerous. If I was certain the job suited me, yes. New York Life is a reputable company. Remember that insurance and financial service sales can be difficult, and the new rep attrition rate is high. |
